Reflection #19: Perfect Life Don't Exist

Assalamualaikum.

I always have this one type of thinking which I assumed other people's life is perfect. Even if it is not perfect, they have better life than mine. I came across to know this one lady, my high school senior to be exact. She is pretty. She came from a wealthy family. She is intelligent, or even genius. Love by everyone. And Alhamdulillah she is now a doctor and is also married to a handsome doctor. Perfect right?

But what I had missed is that nobody had a perfect life. They do have their own problems and tests which they are battling every day. You know, just because the appearance looks perfect it doesn't mean they are all right all the time. No one in this world can escape His tests. Their tests might be different from ours, but they are being tested.

In the Holy Quran, Allah has stated that every believer won't be left alone saying they are a believer unless they had been tested. If you see anyone who you might think their life is peaceful and perfect, maybe and JUST MAYBE that perfect life of theirs is their test. You know, His tests didn't come only as difficulty or poverty or sickness. Being rich and beautiful can also be a test for somebody :)

After a while, I am no longer think that way. I am thankful to Allah for giving me this life and all the tests given. When I am feeling hard and about to lose hope, I will keep reminding myself that there are A LOT of other people whom face harder life tests and even wish to have my life instead. So, let's stop looking at what other people have and keep our attention to what we do have. Shall we? :)
